Description:
Veratrum californicum is a species of corn lily that grows in moist mountain meadows at 3,500ft to 11,000 feet. This plant in monocarpic, after flowering the plant will die but will have produced large quantities of seed. The entire plant is poisonous but is being researched for it's medicinal possibilities.
